SALT LAKE CITY UTAH-JUNE 29 2007---- A correction officer who had taken an inmate to a routine medical appointment at the university hospital was shot in the head and killed by the inmate. StephenAnderson, 60 was shot by the suspect as they were in the hospital waiting for the appointment and the suspect then fled, stoled a car and was later involved in a police pursuit. Curtis Alliger was later captured and prosecutors now say that they will seek the death penalty for Alliger who has a heavily tattoed face and was incarcerated on unknown charges.
