MANATEE FLA. Jan 6 2008 - A 21-year-old Palmetto man was robbed late Friday while riding his bike on Canal Road, the Manatee County Sheriff's Office reported.
According to the report, three men jumped from behind a fence as the victim rode by and knocked him to the ground. One of the men took $120 from the victim and two of the men fled. A nearby security officer witnessed the attack and stopped the third man until sheriff's deputies arrived and took him into custody..
The victim had a possible broken nose from the attack. No other arrests have been made but police are looking for the other suspects who face assault and robbery charges.
