GUARD TIED UP/ATM STOLEN

ALANTA GA. JUNE 8TH, 2007 Friday's theft was also the second of an ATM in metro Atlanta in as many days.
Early Thursday, gunmen tied up a security guard at the Herndon Plaza office building in downtown Atlanta before taking a free-standing cash machine from the lobby. The machine was found outside the building.
Last December, metro police departments reported at least four ATM thefts in which the suspects used stolen construction equipment or other vehicles to crash through the front doors of Walgreens stores.
That rash of thefts ended when Walgreens officials began removing cash from the machines at night.
