TWO ARMORED CAR GUARDS DEAD


SULPHER SPRINGS TX. -- Two Loomis security guards died Tuesday afternoon when their Loomis truck collided head-on with a semi truck on Highway 19 north of Sulphur Springs. The guards, sitting in the front passenger seat and the rear of the Loomis truck died. The driver of the Loomis truck was sent to a hospital in Tyler. “There was money everywhere,” said Hopkins County Sheriff Chief Deputy Rickey Morgan, whose department assisted at the accident scene. Highway 19 north of Sulphur Springs was closed for a few hours in the early afternoon. Department of Public Safety officials are at the scene this morning to perform accident reconstruction.
