DETROIT MI. Jan 8 2008 -- A Michigan man is under arrest for beating a toddler in a convenience store, police said.
The store's security camera caught the man hitting, kicking and stepping on his girlfriend's 2-year-old son, authorities said.
The man also appears to knock the child down with a cooler door, police said.
Police released the video hoping to identify the man. Neighbors recognized the 27-year-old and called authorities.
The man's name has not been released.
The toddler's family told investigators that the boy was not injured in the incident and he is OK.
