A Fentress County sheriff's deputy who zapped two men with a stun gun as a joke has now lost his job.
He had been serving a three-day suspension, but the sheriff decided to make it permanent.
Canine officer Chris Peters hit mechanic Matthew Huddleston and a fellow deputy with the stun gun.
But Huddleston, who worked on a dispatcher's car at the time, ended up in the emergency room.

The deputy acted in a reckless manner and used a tool meant to subdue an unruly person as some kind of prank and his actions was unbecoming of a deputy sheriff, the sheriff said.
It is unkown whether Peters will appeal his termination.
